Practically every : minor league ball park in the. country is equipped or will be in the near future with flood lights.The huge portable light plant; ; carried by the Hoi^e of David, ■ j which makes night games jiossi- ‘ J blc. is an attraction in itself, in; 1 addition to the fact that the 1 i House of David is one of the. greatest traveling ball clubs in the i country. The lighting equipment ! for the night game here Sunday, June 19. at eight-thirty o'clock, is 1 transported on a fleet of trucks.'The power plant itself is carried ] on a mammoth inclosed truck, and consists of a 100.000 watt genera-1 tor and a 250 horse power Sterling gas marine engine, which is . cooled by a specially built radiator. This power plant and equip-' mcnt was designed and built by the leading engineers of the middle west, and the erecting and j tearing down is quite a show.This is the same lighting oquin-j ment that the House of David will • use at Rochester.
