Despite the fact that the I Twin Cities boys were ploying their I lirst game under the lights, the novelty had no effect on their playing and with the Davids put on as good an exhibition of semi-pro baseball jis you will run Into in a long time, tipv or night.After tlie first few innings the game developed into a tight pitchers' battle between Clary Larson of the N. P. and Laufer of the Davids and it was not until two were out in the 13th that Ralph Williams, Minneapolis boy who pla-s second base for the bearded team, uncorked a tine burst of speed to score the win-ning run on a single by IWt FielderHipp.Grover Alexander, one of the immortals of the pitchers' mound started for the Davids and hurled three innings to give Uve fans a look at him. George Dumont, recently of the Minneapolis Millers, opposed him and honors were even between the two veteran hurlers. Old Pete permitting two runs in his | three innings and Slim George three in four innings on the slab.
