114 Girls, Ages 11-14,Eight Team CircuitA total of 114 girls in the Princeton area, ages 11 thru 14, have signed up for the local girls softball league, which will open the 1971 season on Tuesday, June 15, at Jefferson school, starting at 6:30 p.m. Four games will be played on the Jefferson diamonds every Tuesday andFriday throughout the 10 game season according to program director Judy Farley.Teams are the Braves, Twins, Cards, Reds, Cubs, Orioles, Dodgers, and Giants. Coaches for the various teams are Muriel Colombo and KathyCardosi -- Cubs; Jonnie Tal-mon -- Dodgers; Dolly Wahl and Barbara Brumbaugh -- Giants; Gail Larson and Don Larson -- Braves; Linda Duf-field and Cheryl Taylor — Cards; “Sis” Guyette and Mary Walsh -- Orioles; Irene Bickett and Georgette Hirst --Reds; and Pat Becker and DonnaRod, Twins.OPENING night games are Braves battling the Twins; and Cards taking on the Reds. The Cubs meet the Orioles, and the Dodgers clash with the Giants.
