It looks like the Troubadours b*ve something to offer the public this week. It isn’t often that I take ft upon myself to boost a traveling ball club of any kind, but this Is ©ne time I’ll say if you want some good entertainment be at the new hall park next Friday evening for the House of David appearance.* * * •The Davids offer a three-barreled program in addition to the featured appearance of Grover Cleveland Alexander* former world aeries bero, and Ear! (Oil) Smith, of New fork fame. First they play the Croobadours nine innings of regular baseball, and then they offer! their famous “pepper” game. To ftndsh up the program they and the fttmbadoon clash in a donkey baseball tilt.* * * *For those of you who have never heard of donkey baseball. I can recommend only that you talk to Louie fcmrgemeister, recently returned pom the south, and see Friday bight's attraction. Louie was telling me of the game the day after bis return to t$e city. All except file pitcher and catcher are astride donkeys. The batter must jump on h donkey after hitting the ball and tide for first base. As I understand every fielded ball must be toss-Od back to the pitcher before a play ban be made for any baserunner.
