(UP!) — “I was pretty hotabout the whole thing. explained manager Frank Lucchesi of the Arkansas Travelers.Lucchesi was talking about last night’s International l eague doubleheader here in which he was: I. elected from the first game; 2. climbed a 40-foot light tower: and 3. was ejected from the second game for pushing Syracuse manager Bob Swift.“It started when I mpire (John) Klbler called me for being outside the coaching box and we had an argument and he put me out,” said Lucchesi. “I went down the right field line and watched the game through a door. I wasn’t signalling, or anything, hut the other team complained and the umpires closed the door.i down behind the right field where there is a light tower and I climbed up about 40 feet. The base umpire, (Tomey) Ravashiere, toM me to get down. I told him I just wanted to watch my club because it was a good game, tied up 1-1 at the time, lie said if I didn’t get down he’d forfeit the game, so I got down.“When the second game started, Lucchesisaid, “I went to home plate with the lineups. I was told the other manager (Swift) had protested the first game because of me, so 1 got hot and asked him why didn’t he protest the second game. too. We started pushing each other, but the umpires broke it up and thxew me out again because they said I instigated it.”Lucchesi denied a report he had punched Swift.“We were just starting and they broke it up,”he said.
