Van Bersche PitchesAgainst House of DavidPlymouth News:W. F. Bersche has received word that «his son, Van Bersche, who is on the Norfolk state league team pitching staff, pitched a game for Kearney last Sunday against the House of David. The game was won by the latter team on errors by the Kearneyites. Bersche held the bewhiskered ball players down to 5 hits, all scattered, while Kearney got 9 hits off the House of David pitcher. The home folks here are glad to learn that Berscheis making good.
