Clennon was named AH American in Track in 1977.Captain of the school's cross countrv and track teams his sophomore, junior and senior years, Clennon was state champion in the mile and two mile (class A his junior year and third m the 880 and fourth in the mile in Class AA statf i leet his senior vear. His besttimes are: 14 minutes 30seconds for three miles. 4 minutes 11 seconds for one utile, one minute 52 seconds for 880 half mile), and 51 seconds for 440 ione-fourth mile).Clennon will participate in the Quad State Meet in Fort Wayne. Ind., on Saturday running the one mile The top runners in each state have been invited to the meetClennon will participate in the Prep International meet at .North Central College in Naperville on June 17 running the ;180 and the one-mile relay. The top eight runners in the nation were invited to thismeet.Clennon was a member of the Minooka High Future Farmers of America and served as hall monitor at school two years. He was named Most Valuable Track and Cross-Country Team member his sophomore, juniorand senior years.Offered full scholarships byseveral state universities,Clennon accepted a full scholarship from Northern Illinois Universityl He will begin college there this fall majoring in industrial arts and be a member of the NIU crosscountry team, indoor track team and fall track team.
