Women’s GoifDespite intermittent showers, 34 women completed play in the regular Wednesday play at the Bureau Valley Country club. The event for the day was the most 5’s”. Class winners included Estelle Greene (championship); Marilyn Bloom (A); Joan Richards (B); and Dorothy Philbrook (C).In observance of the day’s play, five birdies were recorded.Madeline Larson, Marilyn Bloom, and Estelle Greene birdied 6. Marge Albrechtscored a birdie on 5, and Mary Moline had a birdie on 1.Marilyn Bloom sank her approach shot for her birdie, with Bernice Peterson sinking her approach shot on 8, and Edith Howe sinking her approach shot on 1.In the championship classEstelle Greene won low gross. Fern Hahn scored low net, and Rosemary Kittler had low putts. Mary Moline swept the field in class A, and also had low gross for the day with a 44.Joan Richards scored low gross and low net in class B, with Edith Howe scoring low putts with 12, low for the day. Dorothy Philbrook had low gross and net in class C, Vi Cathcart winning low putts.
