1,Whiz Kids, Blue Streaks Win GainesThe Whiz Kids edged the Bombers, 5-4, and the Blue Slreaks whitewashed the Diamond Kings, JI-O, in a double-bender Saturday in the Civic Center Junior League.Fred Paul allowed only five hils in shutting out the Kings, one of them 'a double by Art Pike.The Streaks got 14 hits off the deliveries of losing pitcher Dan Brown, among them Billy Donovan's three singles and Paul's two singles.The Whiz Kids were otiUiit, 8 to 6, in I heir defeat of the Bombers. Len DeVito was the winning pitcher. Joe Squillacc boomed two big triples and DeVito aided his cause with a brace of singles.Gene Lopareo pitched for the losing Bombers. Charlie HefTer-nun and Ronnie McMahon each had two singles and Lopareo had a double.
