Fire Damages Garage at H. C. Nispel HomeFire starting In the roof of the garage on the property of H. C. Nispel Wednesday afternoon burned a hole in the roof and caused some damage. The fire was put out before the arrival of the firemen toy Mr. Nispel with the aid of his neighbors. A stream of water from a garden hose and several fire extinguishers did the work.The firemen responded promptly, but doe to the fact that there are no hydrants on that street north of Main street, they were unable to put any water on the fire, without going back a block or two to a fire hydrant.It was a lucky thing that the fire was brought under control promptly as a brisk wind was blowing from the south and great damage could have resulted from the blaze.
