The one at the Tammany club Wednesday, at which Bob Armstrong and Ed Martin, the rival colored heavyweights, will meet, is the important meeting of the week. They are to box for the colored heavyweight championship of the world, and the contest should be one of the hottest seen in this city for a long time.Some months ago they met in Philadelphia and the bout was one of the best seen in that city. Both have good records. Armstrong has defeated such men as Frank Slavin. Joe Butler, Joe Goddard and lias a draw with George Gardiner. For a long time he was the Rparring partner of Tom Sharkey, and it was Armstrong that showed Young Corbett bow to defeat McGovern. He Is a fast and clever boxer.Martin is also very elever.
