’■Herbie” Stevens. 15, has Just finished his freshman year at River Vie*-, where he participated In crass country and track. He began competition in seventh grade and last year injunior high was voted most valuable track man and was recognized for earning the most points in meets This year he haswoo both medab irvd ribbons invarious competitions.The son of Bonnie and Herbert Stevens, he is following his brothers, Mike. Rodney and Steve Stevens in the sport. He has broken their records in the one and two-mile events and ran 11 seconds'off the school record this past year. He plans to keep on in cross country and track throughout bis high school career.
