Coilsinch diametersAPPROVEDlent Tile In Stock!IONin the annual Schuyler-Yates Horse Convention, held at the Schuyler County Youth Fair site, on Townsend Road outside of Watkins Glen.Organized by 4-H horse club leaders from Schuyler and Yates counties, the weekend emphasized participation on horseback. Basic instruction was given in grooming and stable management, shoeing and loading horses, and fitting and showmanship. Also included were riding lessons, both English and Western, and instruction in Gymkhana. Evening and spare-time activities included movies, mixers and trail-rides.Instruction for the clinic was provided by Mr. and Mrs. Henry Nuhoff, of Spencer, and a variety of local leaders. Linda Simmons, of Benton Center, provided riding instruction.An integral part of the clinic’s design was to include older 4-H members asdaughter 1 of Mr. and Mrs. Enis Pellescki of Bluff Point, assisted with English riding instruction. Amy Gibbs, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Gibbs, Cathy Spencer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Spencer, Christine Beach daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Clark and Vicki Bodine, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Norman Bodine, all of Penn Yan, also assisted with grooming and riding instruction.Phil and Cheryl Guarino, son and daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Philip Guarino of Rushville, worked horses in a demonstration of games. Patti Joyce, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Joyceof Benton Center, gave demonstrations on proper attire for showing English and Western.junior instructors. A rotating trophy was awarded for the club with the best overall participation.* r
