Two Battles Ployed In Medina PonytailMEDINA — Two games were played in Medina Ponytail League action yesterday. Carter’s Home Improvement blasted Old Phoenix Bank, 19-4, and Crum and Chester toppled Medina Supply, 17-4.In Carter’s victory, Marsha Smith allowed only four hits to picket the win. Joani Grieve was handed the loss for Old Phoenix.Home runs highlighted the victory as Loretta Popovic blasted two while Dickie Christion and Sharon Gallagher each hit a homer.Led by Debbie Foder’s homer and two doubles, Crum and Chester had an easy time defeating Medina Supply.Besides Foder.s batting power, Amy Fuller connected for a triple and three singles, Diane Philpot popped three one-baggers, and Ronnie Crum blasted three doubles for the winners.Philpot pitched for Crum and Chester while Marion Scott was thelosing hurler.Scott blasted a homer for the losers while Chris and Susan Lamphear each hit triples for the Supply squad.
