Base Ball Corner.The ball game last Sunday was the best of the season by seveai odds. The home team ke|t their nerve, and the visitors played a good game onhe whole.The westport took the field In the I first inning, with Moran In the box; i Kenedy at the bat, he waited for a ! goolt;| one and then pushed It through | space for a three baffler. The next man at the willow tossed a fly to Blake. The next one got first oa l balls. A long fly to center .fieldI1 w hich Loomis failed to glue to, letKenedy score. Morten was thoroughly\warmed up and the first man who faced him pounded wind for three\straights and then another took his place. The next man couldn’t find the ball and reluctantly dropped the bat after three attempts. The next one w as* ■stopped at first, as was the next. One more score for the visitors.Kinke faced the music and punched a safe one; King, Hogan, and Blake, followed, It was pie and the boys put three more scores to W estport’s credit.
