There would undoubtedly be dancing In the streets If this was October Instead of June.Shortly after Gordon Frlsby, manager of Sick* Lethbridge Brewery, announced the appointment of the former Maple Leaf and New York American star jus coach of the Brewery-.sponsored team, officials ofthe organization attended the annual meeting of the Western League in Calgary. Among those attending the meeting were irprescnta-iivcs from Edmonton. Regina, Saskatoon. and, of course, Calgary.The highlight of the day-long meeting was the announcement that the Lethbridge entry had been accepted and that there would consequently be a five-team league next winter, the other four teams representing Calgary. Edmonton, Saskatoon and Regina.20 HOME GAMESIt was also decided that each club would have approximately 20 home games. The schedule will commence no later than Friday, Nov. 2, and will end on Feb. 28. Lethbridge in all probability will play her firstfew league games away from home.Another highlight of the meeting was the re-election of D. P. McDonald. Calgary, as league president. Also elected were N. J. Taylor, Regina, as vice-president, and W. G. Hardy. Edmonton, as governor.Gordon Frisby and Ken Ring land represented the Lethbridge club.
