Kenny says that since be became Dob .Fitzsimmons’ sparring partner he has learned quite a lot from the champion.It appears that the boxer who died at Sacramento after engaging in a contest with Young Griffo wav not Bull McCarty. of Philadelphia, but another boxer, who probably used McCarty’s name to pick up a few dollars. McCarty is well and hearty.Johnny Hughes, who defeated Jemmv Curran at the National Sporting club, London, recently, is corning to this country. Hughes is the champion light weight of Tin gland. and when he comes here he vvill be managed by Billy Sel-kck.Tom I.ees, of \ustrnKa, who a few years ago was regarded as the best heavy weight in that country, has arrived in America. Lees has met Peter Jackson, Bob FIt/simmans, Jim Hall and other famous pugilist*, but he says that he has not come for the sole purpose of lighting. If he is challenged,however, he will fight.
