SaundersNamed President ofSalem Womens ClubSpecial To The Hawk-Eye Gazette.Salem, la., June 2.—The regular;meeting of the Salem Woman's club ’and the annual election of officers j was held Thursday afternoon in! their rooms. A co-operative dinner j was held at the noon hour and this'. ' .V -was followed by the regular meeting in the afternoon. Twelve members wTere present for the dinner and eleven members for the meeting. Th devotionals in charge of the hostess, Mrs. Ray Doan, consisted of the !; group singing of the “Battle Hymn of Republic,” with Mrs. Doan accompanied on the piano which was followed by the reading of the scrip- | ture. Response to roll call was “Cur- j rent Events.” Following the busi-1 ness preliminaries, the following of- ■ ficers were elected: jPresident. Mrs. H. W. Saunders; First Vice-President, Mrs. Millie , Cammack; Second Vice President, Mrs. R. P. Nicholson; Secretary, lt;Mrs. W. A. Russell; Treasurer, Mrs. O. H. Tyner; Librarian, Miss Florence Almond; Reporter, Mrs. H. A. Kester; Pianist, Mrs. Ray Doan. ^ j Board of management. Mrs. H. G. Stevens, Mrs. Victor Morrow, Mrs. Hanna Lamm, Mrs. F. C.
