IGA Goodguys Leading j Men’s Fastball CircuitIGA Goodguys are the only undefeated team in the Peace River Men’s Fastball League following the first two days of action.The Goodguys squeaked out a 1 - 0 win over the Traveller’s Motor Hotel on Wednesday and on Sunday took a narrow 7-6 decision over ACT.Four teams aretled In second spot with a win and a loss. Traveller’s bombed the RCMP on Sunday 2710 after losing to IGA; AGT nipped Strong Creek 12 - 11 Wednesday, then lost 13 - 9 to Strong Creek on Sunday.RCMP are in the cellar with no wins.The only IGA run against the Traveller’s came from Bill Goodfellow In the second Inning on a walk given to him by losing hurler, Jim Gentre. With no outs, Goodfellow went to second on a wild pitch, to third and home on two sacrifice bunts.sparkled defensively with two double plays from McLuskyand McKenzie.The winning pitcher in the contest was Terry Carter, who only allowed two hits. Gentre allowed five hits.In the Traveller's - RCMP tilt on Sunday wally Ary-chuk summed five hits, Ron McKenzie, Frank Brennan and Moe Tominuk, three each, as the Traveller's bombed RCMP pitchers with 20 hits. Losing pitcher was Pat Casey, while Jim Himer took the win.Tominuk, Brennan and Sandy Babichyk each hit home runs for the winners.The IGA - AGT contest was closer with Tom Auchsteatter leading IGA with three hits. Ruban Lange bad two safeties and single hits went to Elder. McLeod and Rudd.Top AGT sluggers were Davies and Alexander, both withtwo hits off winning hurler Brian Honke. Ed Mills was 3charged with the loss. “The final game Sunday, be- £tween Strong Creek and UCT, rsaw Bruce Lambert slam three „singles for the winners.
