BEARDED BALL PLAYERS WILLHouse of David Nine Is Strong Club Despite Its Clown Acts.Mary Purnell's* original House of baseball fcearn arrived in Pampa this morning for a- two-game series with the Danciger Roadrunncrs. The two teams will meet ait 3 o’clock this afternoon and at the same hour tomorrow after-, noon. Admission will be 35 and 5.5 cents.The pepper game put on by the bearded players is more than worth the price of admission, but on top of that the bearded players give a great exhibition of the national game as it should be played. Several of the players have been offered big* league contracts.Whitey Baccus, a star on the Roadrunner team last year, arrived in Pampa yesterday and will be ready to take liis place in the lineup, if he jean make the grade, Eac-cus has been attending Southern Methodist univcTsity. The white-thatched EstelLine boy can play nearly every position on the team. He is a good .second baseman and can do a great job of patrolling the outfield. . 4Manager Taron Ward has been putting his charges through some stiff practice sessions this week and has pronounced them ready.The Roadrunncrs will meet the fasL Coitexo Gasoliners of LcFcrs at Roadruner park at 3 o’clock Sunday afternoon. Admission has been reduced to 25 cents for women, 25 cents for bleacher seats and 35 cents far grandstand seats. 'Coitexo defeated^ the Roadrunncrs in a surprise game last Sunday to dedicate the new LeFors nark.
