The home dub certainlyhad it all their own way. They shut themnut completely and kept the 400 spectators in good humor. The Giants did both excellent batting and fielding. The-Yorks were very weak in their battery. In the first and second innings they scored and were then shut oat three Bccc«wive innings. In the Birth Inning, before the third man was pnt out, the Giants all had a turn at the bat, and six more runs were added. Grant, at p^cond, played a wonderful game. The Yorks lost two of their best playere on Saturday, and it is said that that was the cause of their weakness.Mr. Larry O’Dea, the new umpire, filled that position satisfactorily.
