Galena Will Play OnAirport Diamondi Galena, 111., July 31—Special; The Galena Merchants baseball associa-! tlon will have a new diamond at theairport on U. S. 20 west of here, according to an announcement today. The new diamond was neceseitated by the civilian conservation corps ; taking over the fairgrounds here for their permanent camp. Work will be started at once according to Dr. R. E. Logan, president of the association.Provision will be made for lighting the new diamond for night games if plans of the management are carried out. Games are being scheduled with the Kansas City Monarchs, jHouse of David, Gilkerson's UnionGiants and the Detroit Night Hawkson the new diamond during the remainder of the season.
