Base Ball Extraordinary.On Thursday afternoon, July SO. 1874. the Printers’ Niue and Counter Hoppers, of Aurora, will plav a match game ot base ball on the Hoosiers grounds. On this occasion these celebrated nines will j struggle for the supremacy far the lirst time, and an exciting game will he the result. It is probable that no game like this will he was ever played in this or any other country since the world began. The management ask the public to witness the contest, and then if not satisfied with this statement, search histffry for its verification. Two-thirds of the players have never seen a real live base ball, and yet the playing will he little less than remarkable. The ladies are cordialiv in-♦vited. This must be regarded in a genera! sense, as they are at liberty to accept individual invitations from any other source. Ladies sbo.uld provide themselves with boquets, as merit will expect its reward. Spectators are requested to not manifest their appreciation for fine playing by loud cheers. It has a tendency to excite the players to undue exertion’, and. this must be guarded against in hot weather. A modest dapping of the hands will suffice. The management will not ask the people to “turnout,” but will be.satisfied if they walk or ride out.The Counter Hoppers can lie distin-iguisbed by their low necked shirts and waxed mustaches; they will also part their hair in the middle, as usual. The uniform of the Printers will be characteristic—they will be out at the elbows and out of money, and will exhibit free passes to the coming circus. No admission feewill be charged, and 110 collection taken up; children half price.By order of the Committee.
