(A P).—Even the presence of several members of the royal family failed to give Scandinavian athletes thenecessary inspiration to win even i one event yesterday against the j barnstorming American track and field team. jCompeting'against Swedish andDanish athletes in an international meet at Malmo the Americans made a clean sweep of every event and as a result received the choice trophies presented by the Crown Prince in person. Another member of the royal family in attendance was Prince Carl Johan.Glenn Cunningham of Kansas, iwho previously nad smashed the! Swedish record for the 800 meters,; won at that distance yesterday. His I time was 1:58, a second better than that recorded by Bjork of Sweden.Ralph Metcalfe, the Marquette | sprint ace, scored a double winning tne 100 meters in 10.3 seconds ana the 200 meters in 21.1.
