CASTING IS GIVENGroup of Dayton Women Entertain Crowd of Pi-quads Last Night atEcho Lake,-Headed by wfrs. A. Joker, a groupof Dayton women entertained a finecrowd of local casting enthusiastswith a demonstration of their skillsat the Fiqua Ousting club platform last night.Included in the crowd were many Piqua women, who are becoming interested in this new local pastime. , Mrs. Joker prior to the impromptu competition, explained how the women's casting club at Dayton had been organized and gave many lips to local women relative to the fundamentals of the sport;Mrs. Joker took top .honors in the contest with a 80 while her daughter finished second with an. 88, Other scores were Mtes Clark and Mrs. Bowcts, tied for third place with 83's. Frizes were awarded the winners by the Piqua Casting club. This competition was held under the floodlights at the local club's platforms at Echo Lake and though it was the first time that the contestants had casted under floodlights, they did remarkably welt, Concluding the program, a contest between Fiqua and Dayton men saw John Mowry of Piqua win first prize in a play-off with a score of 97, while Vales of Dayton had a 9G and Joker, also of Dayton, tallied a 03. All three tied in the original contest with flTs.
