Granting that Bass, did not break his collarbone we doubt if he would have beaten Canzoneri as decisively as did BHtman.The other medium of comparison is Pete Nebo. Both of Bass's showings against Nebo were unsatisfactory while Blitman gave Pete a good thumpingAll this speaks very well for Harry, but can either Canzoneri or Nebo hit hard?If they can. neither man has shown it. It remains to be seen what Blitnian can do under adverse conditions where he will have to make weight.On the other hand Bass has shown that be can take it while the going is rough. ; V _•As we see it Blitman will win ifBass does not hit him which is very unlikely. If Bass hits Blitman hard in the first round Bass will win. At any rate I look for a fast fight with Bass the winner,HARRY KID BROWNAfter being on the sidelines for four months with a broken arm the ‘’Kid’’ is back in training at his own public gym. On a visit to his gym I noticed quite a few men who were too old to fight. When I asked Brown the meaning of this he told me that he intended to cater to the business men rather than the boxers although he is not 'chasing boxers away.Harry claims his gym to be the lestpublic gym in the country and the onlyone where the boxer -nnd {business men get together. He then proceeded to take ten pounds of weight from some tired business man.Brown will return to the ring as a^welterweight in about two months.* — ........CORPORAL IZZIE SCHWARTZWhen a man $oes out of his cla^s to fight a man six pounds heavier for a championship of a higher class thatman must have guts and ambition.
