Twelvo conttiVtAOtB, representing manyof this leading of motor cycles,will at 1:30 o'clock leu vo the fair grounds track after one swing around the half-mile course:; and head for Baker In one of the most novel races that Eastern Oregon has ever seen.The machines will d-purt at regular intervals of five minutes. The course between La Grande and Baker ha* herncarefully staked out with flags anil pointers, so that the riders may know when dangerous road conditions urine,and traffic in general may be careful in narrow dottles and canyons that the racers pass through.At Hot Lake, Union, North Powder. Haines and Baker the riders must report to station judges. There can be no cut-offs. These Judges will telephone in the relative standings of thecontestants at each place. At Baker the cntcH tan Ik must stop five minuter* for rest and the Commercial Club w ill bo host there during that time. The riders will be allowed refreshing drinksand baths -during that period.While the racers are away there I1* to be a programme on the race course of the fair grounds.
