Freisen.SEVEN SISTERS FALLSHv STAN GITTINSJThe schedule of the South Division of the Eastern Manitoba Fast Ball League has been completed with Whitcmouth winding up in first place in the league standings with 24 points. Seven Sisters finished up in second place with 19 points and the Hungry Nine caught the last play-off spot with 1H. A best two mil of three semi-final will be played off with Seven Sisters versus the Hungry Nine, and the winner meeting Whitcmouth in the final. As this goes to print the dates of the various games have not been set.During the past week. Seven Sisters had two good games with Whitcmouth to wind up the schedule. Out of the two encounters. the local gang were onlv able to salvage one point, which they needed, to enable the team to finish up in second spot. The first game was won bv White-mouth by a score of 9 to 6. Highlight of this game, from a local point of view, was the two towering home runs by Irvine Honke. Irvine is really powdering the ball and is rapidly regaining his ability to clear the bases. For Whitemouth. Ken Jorgenson plaved a stand out game at third base, while Rudy Noel pitched a steady game of ball, went the full distance and managed to subdue a last inning rally by the locals. John Peterson made a good job of the umpires chores. The second game was the best of the series when the teams battled to a three all tie Both teams played tight defensive ball as the score indicates with Whitemouth managing to tic the score in their half of tthe last inning.
