Lawrenceburg 13—Batesvilie 7.The ball game Sunday between the Stars and the Lawrenceburg team was won by the visitors, 13 to 7.“Big Six” Taylor was on the slab for the visitors. He was hit rather freely, but his support kept the runs down. Roeli did the twirling for the Stars and with his usual 'support he would have won his game. Most of the errors made behiad him proved costly.Kirtiey Baker, formerly with the Washington National League team, played second base for Lawrenceburg. He was jeered in the sixth inning when he deliberately shoved Benz over second base, causing him to fall down.. Benz was allowed to goto third base. The Lawrenceburg♦team is composed of the biggest bunch of kickers the home team has played this season. They kicked on every close decision, making it very unpleasant for the umpire. In the eighth inning they made an attempt to quit the game and most of them started to leave the grounds, but the manager called them back and insisted on finishing the game. The Lawrenceburg boys claim they do not draw any crowds at home and can’t afford to have a visiting team come there. If they kick as much at home as they did here last Sunday they do not deserve any patronage at all.The score by innings:Innings.... 123456789Lawrenceb’g. 11012122 3—13 Batesvilie ...010 211110—7Batteries: Lawrenceburg, Taylorand Leak; Batesvilie, Roeli and Terry.
