The first game will be played on Saturday afternoon at 3 o'clock at the Eagles’ baseball park and will be between the Piney Woods Singing baseball club of Mississippi and the local ; Moose team. The Piney Woods team comes well commended and wifli the assurance that they have i one of the best playing traveling baseball clubs in this section. The Finev Woods team is a colored, all professional team renowned for its sportsmanship and clean playing.The second big game will be play- j ed on the local field on Sunday after- I noon at 3 o'clock between the Gales- i burg Independents and the local Moose team. According to word received here the Galesburg team is the best semi-pro team in this sec- ! tion and has been for several years. I The Galesburg team has a good record and has played such teams as the “House of David, Springfield Empires, Haag Washers of Peoria, and the Kansas City Monarchs, champions of the colored league.”The Galesburg Independents are eaid to be the fastest playing aggregation in these parts and will, therefore, give the local Moose a hard fight if they expect to win.
