PLAYS HERE NEXT WEEK—Francisco Herrera of Cuba will be playing first base for the Kansas City Monarchs next Thursday night when they visit the Kenosha Chiefs in the Kenosha Baseball Association's second annual booster night game. Herrera, 6 feet 2 inches tall, is the Negro champions’ leading home run hitter. He hit safely in 22 consecutive games this spring and belted homers in nine of them. Two years ago he hit four homers in one game.
