Pollard’s All Stars Wallop Black Dragons Here Last SundayThe Kerrville All Stars trounced the Austin Dragons last Sunday by the score of 12 to 8. Although the Dragons got off to a good start In the first and second innings scoring two runs in the first and three runs in the second inning.The All Stars came up in the fourth to upset the Dragons remaining one score behind. The Serpents came to bat in the first of the fifth inning scoring one more run netting their counts, 6 to 4.The home-town boys came back fighting hard to tie the score 6 to 6. The next half Little Joe Beasley’s, left fielder, long drive for three extra bases, Sam Demery'aline double with Roy Neal’s long drive gave the All Stars a two rtra advantage.The two teams played bang-op baseball the next two innings and the All Stars went on to wln.j*Sunday afternoon, July 25, the Abilene Black Eagles will tangla with the All Stars at 8:30 p. m. at the Colored Park. The Eagles are well remembered of having a fine aggregation of players and possess two of the greatest Negro pitchers throughout Southwest Texas. Manager Bill Haynes has been drilling his players to tha extremes and is out to get his revenge against the Eagles. Man-ager D. W. Jay of the Eagles will send his young fire ball artist against the All Stars. He shut out the All Stars on their first appearance in Kerrville.
