The daintiest s baby girl in the show was Marilyn i Buzzell. Suzanne Dick received f second prize for the daintiest, and* Jenifer LaFlamme walked off b with third prize.I Teacher Corpstr Projects Begin In State Schools* BURLINGTON—Vermont is* one of 22 states which will have J new Teacher Corps projects ’ beginning this summer and fall, ' the federal Office od Education [ has reported. The projects are 5 designed to expand educationalopportunities for children from low-income families.The two-year programs will involve 1,400 interns and team leaders. Vermont is one of six states--the other are Alaska, Delaware, Montana, North Dakota and South Dakota—which will have such a project for thefirst time.Dr. Alan Wheeler of the University of Vermont, who is state director of the project here, told The Banner that the College of Education at UVM and the state Department of Education in Montpelier will both participate in planning the program in VermontSpecific school districts in the state which will be affected are the Alburg School District Barre city schools, Burlington School District, Rutland public schools and the Winooski School District.First prize for the cutest baby girl went to Susan Roy, second prize to Jen iff er Lee Bourdon, and third prize to Kimberly Mears. Laura Libonoski won a ribbon for being the tiniest baby girl and Tara Lynne Greene won second prize in that category. The most Lively girl in the show was Julie Sukel. The two sleepiest girls were Laura Libonoski and Tara Lynne Greene.The happiest babies were twins—Penelope and Kimberly Rogers. Kim Bouplon won a ribbon for having the curliest hair. The chubbiest prize winner was Carrie Fabridus with EileenRatelle a close second. The most bashful babies were Kari Anne Racicot, Melissa Ouellette, and Beth Ann Forrest. Michelle Martin and Andrea Ivy won ribbons for the most beautiful eyes.For the baby boys the following won ribbons: Most Rugged—John Phillips and Buddy Bourgeois. Ribbons for the Handsomest boys were awardedScott Blake and Jeffrey Wilkinson. The littlest boys were Barry Richardson and Gerald Lanoue. First prize for the happiest baby boy went to Richard LaFlamme, John Ratelle copping second-place honors. The most content boys were David Parmenter and Michael Burke. First prize for the most beautiful eyes went to Brian Pete and Paul Teenar. PatrickKinney won a ribbon for being the sharpest-dressed contestant.The high point of the show was the crowning of royalty by the judges. John Phillips and Katie Berard were selected as prince and princess, and Scott Blake and Michelle Williams were officially crowned King and Queen for 1970.The playground staff wish to express their thanks to the three judges who had the difficult task of selecting the winners: Mrs. John Mook, Mrs. Charles Keir and Mrs. Robert Dewey.
