NEW MUM WILL OFFICIATE ON MOUND FOR LOCALSBilly Lanier Will Get Tryout With Capital Citians; Game Called for 6:30DOUBLEHEADER ON SUNDAYThree Camee Scheduled for Balance of July; Two in City's Improved ParkBoasting a much stronger pitching staff and priding themselves on the fact that they are playing a higher type of baseball than last year when they split a two-game series with the local club, the Northern Pacific Shop team comes to Bismarck today for three clashes with the Capital Citians.The first game with the 1933 Minnesota champions tonight will be called at 6:30 and Sunday's double-header opens at 1:30 p. m., with the second contest scheduled for 3:30 p. m.Billy Lanier, big righthander from the University of North Dakota, who has just been hired by Manager Neil Churchill, will pitch against the Shop club in the game tonight. For the two Sunday games Lefty Vincent. Barney Morris and Themar Simle will all be available.Pitched No-Hit GameLanier, who turned down a chance In the Northern League with the Grand Forks Colts for the increased returns in the unorganized semi-professional ranks, last week pitched a no-hit, no-run game against the Petersburg, N. D., aggregation. In that game the Fargo boy chalked up 24 strikeouts.The Bismarck club returned from Canada early Friday morning where they divided four close games with Jamestown before Winnipeg and Rock Lake fans.Three games have been scheduled for the rest of July with the Eau Claire Bears of the Northern League coming here Wednesday, July 25. In the other home game this month, Grover Alexander, veteran major leaguer, will bring his bearded House of David nine here July 30.
