Base Ball,The regulation that the Standards are making for themselves as first-class ball players is reviving’ the interest iu base ball that existed in Aurora duriug the palmy days of the old Hoosier Club of this city fifteen years ago. The Standards are now playing a good game and have downed every el ub but one that they have play oil wirh this summer and they have plaved some remarkablv good amateur e!ujs. Last Saturday afternoon they plaved the Nationals of Cincinnati and defeated them after a hard fought battle bv a score Of 0 to 5. The game is said to have been a brilliant and exciting one from first to last and attracted a great crowd. On Sunday afternoon the same clubs plaved again when the Standards were overwhelmingly victorious in a score of 12 to 4.c »A picked nine composed of the best, players of tioouc county. Ky., will play the Standards on the iloosier grounds next Saturday. Game called at 2:30 sharp.
