Hager, Jasiota to attend JuniataHUNTINGDON — Two local basketball standouts will continue their playing careers at Juniata College.Former Franklin star Nick Hager and former Oil City standout ChrisJasiota will join coach Greg Curley’s squad this fallHager picked up three varsity letters on the hardwood during hisscholastic career and was a second-team all-state performer as a seniorwhen he averaged 15 points, six rebounds and five assists per contest. He also grabbed TCAC I MVP honors as a senior and helped his team to a state championship in his sopho-more season and three TCAC and District 10 titles dunng his career “1 believe Nick was one of thetop players in western Pennsylvania last season,” Curley said “He is extremely talented and has a great work ethic and understanding of the game He has won championships, so he knows what that is all about. He is a tremendous student-athlete and we think he will have a huge impact on our program. There is really no telling how good he can be ” The son of Bill and Maureen Hage also earned two varsity letters as a member of the school's baseball team.His brother Nate played four years of basketball at Juniata, and has recently been hired as an assis-NICK HAGERtant coach for Juniata's men’s basketball program. His sister Hillary competes for Vanderbilt's women's basketball teamJasiota was a three-year All-Tri-County Athletic Conference Division I pick on the basketball court and earned first-team honors as a ju-tuor and a senior.
