Legion Black Stars To Meet Mighty San Angelo SheepherdersThe Legion Black Stars are getting out all their metal polish, so that their luminaries will not shed all of the luster of winning when they meet Hezlkah Lott’s Black Sheepherders of San Angelo, who will be here Sunday. The Herders are said to be the strongest amateur Negro baseball team in the South.Jim Pollard, contact man for the Stars, says that the visitors will meet a ball club, and that Dimry and Blanks are the battery to face the invaders next Sunday afternoon at three o’clock. The game will be played on Doyle Field.The Stars had little trouble sending the Nixon Peanut Grabbers home last Sunday afternoon. Due to the fact that Nixon carried the light end of the 20-0 score might have had something to do with the affair.- ❖--------
