— — •* Rosebud cnmo up on the first of the week and placed their first game of the season and went home winners by- a score of 7 to -1. The ‘Kub3’ thought they had something easy and jet everything go through their hands, expecting to tighten up in the seventh and show the spectators some real baseball. This was their foolish mistake as when the lucky seventh came around the Rosebud pitcher tightened up. and with a grin on his face made the home bunch look like the last rose of summer and no imitation of n fresh rosebud. When the time comes that our boys get the knowledge instilled into their allegedbrains that it doesn’t pay to under estimate an opponent, especially inbase ball, they will win their game, ibut a run of seven wins in succe3- jeioli had made thorn feci as if thejcould whip the New York Giants, and they were easy “pick ins” forthe bunch from Rosebud, eventhough it were the first time thisseason that they have crossed batsin a game. Wc hope the boys havehud enough time to think it overand will play ball tho .next .timethey go on the. field. A returngame will be played at Rosebud thofirst of the coming week, and wcbelieve the story may be writtenthe other way around. jRosebud 0 0 0 1 3 3 0 0 0—7Drumheller 2000010 1 0—1
