Scissors and Electricity An Interest-£ ing Game,To-morrow afternoon at the Orange Co, Pleasure Grounds there will be an entertaining game of base kill, second only, in interest, to the famous game played in Goshen last week between the lawyers of that village and Middletown. It is a game between the telegraph operators and dry goodsclerks,The operators will be captained by GeorgeWright, and the clerks by that well-known tape measurer Jacob Crosby. Bets at present are somewhat in favor of the operators, the knowing ones saying that Johnny Ter-wiliiger and Will Owens having been known to catch several flashes of lightning in one day, think it but child’s play to catch an ordinary ball, If the clerks win it will only be owing to their strong batting, all of their team being old dry goods men, with muscles bard as iron from the constant and arduous use of scissors.
