However since starting ^ut in the spring the colored boys have shown that they are back in their old time form and their record to date clearly places them in a class with the best ! colored clubs in the country. Since j the season began they have played 58 games winning 43 and losing 15 or a winning average of .750. July 4 they played “Skeet” Hughes Lafayette aggregation two games losing in the morning 8-7 and shutting Lafayette out in the afternoon by a score of 7-0. The Kalsomining stunt was ably assisted by Rube Kennard. Manager Rogers has promised to work this famous battery in tomorrow’s game.
