MossBabb and Millerare top Pecos golfersBill Moss, Kirby Babb and George Miller have emerged as top winners in the Men’s Golf Association tournament action onthe Pecos golf course.In the action which extended through May and June, Moss took top honorsin the championship flight, with Babb copping secondand Miller landing in theconsolation spot.First flight honors of the match play action went to Beau Jack Hendrick for the top honor while David Lundgren captured second and Bob Nebel was the consolation winner.In the second flight action, Stu Burnett holds thechampionship role while James Pearrow took second and Jim Wafer earned the consolation slot.THIRD FLIGHT honors went to J.C. White, Buck Renshaw and W.W. Wheat. White was top man while Renshaw sat in the number two slot with Wheat taking consolation.Doyle Lowrance captured• cancelledThe local links were to lave hosted a low ball lartnership tourney, but lot enough entries were eceived to stage the event, Vilson said.the top slot of fourth flight action by beating Steve Burkholder who took second, with Jerry McGowan in the consolation spot.Top qualifiers in the fifth flight were Floyd Woods, Glenn Ellis and A. Cobos.Woods took the top spot, with Cobos placing second and Ellis in the consolidation bracket.Pairings in the six flight sent Orville Lucas into the championship slot, with Jim Morrison earning second and Carl Crowder in theconsolidation.IN THE SEVENTH flight,Pecos EnterpriseTed Painter emerged thevictor, taking the top spot from A. Branham while Doug Ward earned consolation with a win over Bill Pigman.Final flight action sent Ben Meek Sr. into the number one spot with a win over Dan Painter and Homer Graham. (AP)- Ronnie Lizak, 25, is one of the nation’s youngest collegiate athletic directors. He is the new AD and basketball coach at Southampton College. Lizak succeeds Jim Colclough who left the Colonials to take over the AD position for retiring director William Ashley at Post College.Lizak assisted Colclough the past two seasons. Lizak’s three-year record with the junior varsity basketball team at Molloy High School, Brentwood, N. Y., was 50 and 9. He also coached junior varsity baseball at Plai-nedge High School in Bethpage,N. Y.
