On Saturday laft about Five in the Evening, one Charles Fox was barbaroufly aflaulted and murdered in a Place called Holloway Mount near Shoreditch, by two Soldiers, the one named Peter Piercy, the other William Jones. The Deceafed had been at the Place aforefaid to fee a Boxing Match between a Soldier and a Baker, and on his return Home with feveral Soldiers, laid, The Baker had rtot fair Play : upon which forne few Words arifing, one of the above-named Soldiers ftabb’d the faid Fox with a Small Sword, of which he inftanrly died, while the other with a Bayonet in his Hand was ftrugling with another Man. They were committed the iame Day.On Monday the Coroner’s Intjueft fate upon the Body, and brought in a Verdict of Wilful Murder againil them both.
