INTERESTING to note that GEORGE RING has acceptedthe job as freshman football coach at Gordon Tech of the Catholic league. Our first association with Ring goes hack to some 28 or 27 year* ago when he was head grid mehtor at Austin High school, just before BIEL H El LAND took over theTiger reins. Ring moved over to Lane Tech from Austin and guided the Indian gridders for a pair of decades just beforeretiring a few years ago.Ring, incidentally, is the second former West Side high school coach to go over to Gordon Tech in the past year. BOB LUKSTA, ex-St. Mel cage coach, moved to Ithe Division street school last fall and had a highly successful hardwood season, his lights having won the sectional crown.
