One of these wins was a two-hitter against Terry Carter of the IG A Goodguys and the other a one-hitter against Strong Creek.The wins for Honke left him with a record of eight wins and only one loss, while Carter of the Goodguys suffered two losses during the week's action, giving him a record of 10 wins and three losses.Standings remained unchanged following the nine games played last week, but IGA's lead was cut to seven points over second place AGT and eight points over third place RCMP.The Goodguys now have 22 points on 11 wins and three losses; AGT have seven wins, five losses and a tie for 15 points; RCMP seven wins and five losses for 14 points; Traveller’s Motor Hotel six wins, eight losses for 12 points; Strong Creek four wins, eight losses one tie for nine points; and cellar-dwelling UCT Bad Guys four wins and 10 losses for eight points.Last Tuesday while RCMP downed Traveller’s 8-4, AGT slopped the league leaders 6-1 behind the four hit pitching of Metro Babichuk. In another Tuesday game Strong Creek whippped UCT 10-3.One of the most lopsided results of the season was recorded inWednesday action as Trveller’s slaughtered Strong Creek 23-3. In comparison RCMP nudged IGA 1-0 and AGT walloped UCT 20-12.On Sunday RCMP nipped Strong Creek 1-0; Traveller’s got by AGT 12-5 and IGA won 10-2 over UCT.Milt Woods was the winning hurler in the Strong Creek -UCT match allowing seven hits. Roger Cauchon was the loser.Terry Carter’s loss to AGT was only his second of the season, and the four hits he allowed was the same as winner Babichuk. IGA committed four errors and AGT two.Honke allowed the Traveller’s six hits in RCMP's 8-4 win. Loser Jim Himer gave up 10.
