How. ell then singled McDonald home with what proved to be the winning run.Bobby Mitchell of Syracusehit the only home run, a solo blow over the left field wall in the fourth inning. Syracuse picked another run in the sixth with a pair of walks, a bunt sin- j gle by Mitchell and a sacrifice fly by Jose Vieal.
