M.Manager Pete Pappas of the .Laredo Club requests all his team mates to be at Washington Park Sunday afternoon at Z o'clock and that the players will there be picked up to be taken to Nuevo Laredo for their game there. Pappas said that if any player fails to show up at that time, that he will have to find a way out to La Junta Park. The as yet undefeated La Junta will face what many believe will be their strongest test when Pappas's boys fresh from their win over the LAAF Gunners last Sunday come up against them. Big Boy Dovalina, whose hurling was mainly responsible for the local’s victory last Sunday will probably be called to oppose Lupe Ortegon, La Junta ace and the jague leading hurler. As the Laredo players were leaving the dug-out last Sunday, shouts of “Nothing can stop as now” were heard and the way they played that game, it was a trili inspired team that was on the fiell that day. The Laredo boys have found that with a tight offense and strong defense, they can whip the otherfellow and they are going to use that knowledge to advantage. It will not be a disheartened or humble team that will face the Leaders Sunday, but a \ full of confidence and fight. Manager Pappas has Rifle Dominguez in reserve for La Junta. No official pitching choice had be announced to Saturday noon.In the game at Washington Park beginning at 3:30 o’clock, the LAAF Gunners face another scrapping team, in the Smelters. The Smelters came within a shade of beating La Junta last Sunday and they are confident that they will be able to follow through to win against the Gunners. Manager Dickinson has announced that he will start Charlev Coggins, curve ball artist, against the Gunners. Cog-gia.3 has a fast breaking^ curve that will probably give Faireloth, Leyendecker Montalvo andCompany, trouble These are the Gu~* er best hitters.Lt.
