P. V. A. C.Will Compete In Pittsburgh Show On July 17Dr. Lee Herrington will send a crew of amateur fighters to Greenlee Field, Pittsburgh, on Tuesday evening, July 17, to participate in Pittsburgh’s Amateur Boxing Classic, which is sponsored by the Amateur Athletic Union.Boxers from Morgantown, McKeesport, Kifccannihg, Charleroi, Williamsport and Pittsburgh will be present as well as the Uniontown and New Salem boys in the parade of champions.Under the match-making of John T. Taylor, secretary-treasurer of the A. M. A., the best in Western Pennsylvania will enter the ring set up in the big ball park which seats upwards of 10,000 people.Champions of recent Senior and Junior A. M. A. tournaments will be on hand for the carnival as well as the runner-ups and semi-finalists.
