We -regret to do it, but as a matter of news, nothing else, iwe are obliged to note that a very moderate and unassuming team by the name of Sprudels came over to Washington from West Baden for the three series game of the Fourth of July and just absolutely cleaned up the earth with the Washingtonians. Too had, for according to the Washington papers, Hicks, Sharon, Sisson, and a few hundred others the stunt could not be “did.” But it was did and did right. The dusky boys had to pflay against the ginger of a winning team, Sisson, public opinion, Laws, a had diamond, Rodarmel and -the irecord of a -riot winning town. But they buckled up courage andtaught the (boys of Hicksville a few thing3 that they had never -thoughtabout. Why, those darkeys 'playedwith the Sisson lads like a setter pup with an angle worm. They hit the ball when they wanted to and when they were tired they rested and then hit it some -more. They gave Washington a touch of the sweets of victory in the last game by lowing themselves to get out in the gentlest way up until the lastinning and -then, Oh, how easily they got all they wanted.
