MRS. ELLEN MAUDE HALLETT On Sunday, June 30th, 1974, at the Holiday Retreat in Portage la Prairie, Mrs. Ellen Hallett, age 91 years, a long time resident of the Lake Francis district and recently of 48 - 8th Street North East, Portage la Prairie.Born in Rockwood, she was raised and received her education in the Stonewall area. In 1909 she married John Hallett and they lived in Winnipeg for a short time then moved to Lake Francis where they farmed until retirement in 1959. Mrs. Hallett was a member of the Anglican Church and a faithful worker in the W.A. and of the Sunday School. She was also a Life Member of the Women’s Institute.Predeceased by her husband, the late John Hallett, and one daughter, Thelma, she is survived by two sons: John, of Lake Francis, and James of Woodlands, and five daughters; Mrs. Evelyn Stone of Portage la Prairie, Mrs. Lyle Proctor ofW7nodlflnds Mrs Rf'rtha Hnoa nf
