Bears win.Mustangs,Sens tieThe Bears downed the Giants 12-9 and the Senators played the Mustangs to a 2-2 draw Wednesday in Rosenberg Pee Wee League play.Merritt Morton went all the way on the Bear mound to collect the win in the opener.Mike Macha went the distance and absorbed the loss.The Giants outhit the Bears 8-5. Daryl Schmidt led the losing offense with three doubles. Macha, Paul Hein, Scooter Pietsch and Pete Talasekeach posted singles.For the Bears, Morton doubled and singled, Ricky Rawlings had two singles and Albert Hanzelka had one.Mark Urbanskl and Michael Boepple each threw five complete innings in the nightcap, neither getting credit for their efforts.Urbanski’s triple was theonly Senator safety.Scott Lawless homered for the Mustangs. It was the only other hit of the ball game.
